We'll send your order confirmation and pickup code to this address, and use it to help if an order goes missing or wrong. We delete it from your order 180 days after you collect your order or after a full refund is completed. We keep it longer only while there's an open payment dispute, or while an email to you is still being sent or needs checking. Makers never see it. If you tick the news box, we also keep your email on our news list, separately from your order, until you unsubscribe. You can unsubscribe from any news email.
Why we ask: to send your order confirmation and pickup code, tell you when your order is ready, let you find your orders again, and sort out a lost, wrong or disputed order. If you tick the news box, we'll also send occasional news about our retreats and pieces. You can unsubscribe at any time from any of those emails.
Who sees it: The Tranquillity's shop team only. Makers see your name and what you ordered, never your email. Our email provider, Resend (EU region), sends the messages.
Card payments: Stripe collects the email you enter at payment and keeps its own copy under Stripe's privacy policy. We keep that copy on your order too, to match it to the payment, and delete it on the same schedule as below.
How long we keep it: we delete your email from your order 180 days after you collect it or after a full refund is completed. If an order is never collected or fully refunded, we delete the email 180 days after the last pickup day (9 October 2026) or 180 days after the order is cancelled, whichever comes first. If there's an open payment dispute, we keep it until the dispute closes, and if an email to you is still being sent or needs checking, we keep it until that is settled. Deleted emails can remain in our encrypted backups for up to 30 more days. We keep the order record itself, without your email, for our accounts. If you ticked the news box, our news list keeps your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
Your choices: to have your email deleted sooner, or to see what we hold about you, write to retreats@thetranquillity.co.uk. We'll reply within one month. If we delete it before you collect, we can't email you about that order.
